Writing has always played an important role in my life. However, following a breast cancer diagnosis years ago, it turned therapeutic. I blogged about my experience to help others find positivity and yes, even humor, when faced with adversity. But when it came to my three young children, I couldn't find stories on the subject matter that resonated. So, I wrote one, THE HORSE LISTENER. This kickstarted my journey into the kidlit world. What I have discovered is a community of incredibly kind, encouraging, and generous writers who are passionate about creating stories for young readers. The learning is endless and I'm all in!

     I am dedicated to the craft of writing for children as a member of SCBWI, Christy Yaros's "CRAFTING KIDLIT' for Middle Grade/YA, and several critique groups. My writing background includes being a published essayist and former TV journalist.

     As a Kripalu certified Restorative Yoga teacher, young readers will find sprinkles of mindfulness and breathwork in my writing. I also hold a PATH, Intl certification as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning and enjoy volunteering at a local therapeutic riding center.

     A lifetime New Englander, I love being active outdoors in all seasons with my family.
