Writing has always played an important role in my life but following a breast cancer diagnosis years ago, I couldn't find a book that resonated to help my three young children. So, I eventually wrote one, THE HORSE LISTENER. This kickstarted my journey into the Kidlit world. What I have discovered is a community of incredibly kind, encouraging, and generous writers who are passionate about creating stories for young readers. The learning is endless and I'm all in!

I am dedicated to the craft of writing for children as an active member of SCBWI, Christy Yaros's "CRAFTING KIDLIT' program for Middle Grade/YA, and several critique groups. My writing background includes being a published essayist and former TV journalist.

As a long time yoga teacher, I hope to inspire young readers with sprinkles of mindfulness and calming techniques. I have also earned an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning certification and enjoy volunteering at a local therapeutic riding center where I get to witness first-hand the healing power of horses.

A lifetime New Englander, I love being active outdoors in all seasons with my family.
